I'm pregnant and close to deliver while I'm in in Canada

Customer Question

I’m pregnant and close to deliver while I’m in in Canada entered in TRV Visa ( visit visa ) . Does my baby become citizen by default once born ? any obligation to give him citizenship after she born immediately ?
Thank you

If your child is born in Canada then your child is automatically a Canadian citizen. There's nothing for you to do. It's automatic.
