VerifiedI am sorry for the long delay. The question was placed on the UK list but it is about the law in Canada.
It was just moved over to the correct list now. I am a lawyer in Canada and happy to help.
You can get an offer of enrollment from a university when you come to visit but you cannot obtain a study permit from within Canada.
You have to leave Canada to get the permit unfortunately.
You can receive an acceptance offer from a university.
You can then apply for the study permit and can receive it when you re-enter Canada. It may be possible for you to go to the US and re-enter Canada and if you can do that you could be given the study permit upon your reentry, at the border.
