Can I register a House Lien on my client's property

Hello, can I register a House Lien on my client's property (in Ontario), who is selling her house in 2 weeks in Aug. She promice to pay me from the procedes of the sold house, but I want to make sure it happend.
1. Can I register a Lien as an Ontario corporation or under my name?
2. How long it will take to be registered on the house title?
3. Should I use a lawyer or paralegal or just do it by myself?

You cannot register a lien on her property unless this is a builder's lien and you've completed the work less than 45 days ago or unless you have a judgment against her. If you start a lawsuit and it is about the property and not about something else you may be able to get a certificate of pending litigation and register that on title. It will not freeze the title but will be a caution to the buyer that there is a lawsuit about the property that is going on.
