On Friday, a bailif came and seized my backhoe. The backhoe

Customer Question

On Friday, a bailif came and seized my backhoe. The backhoe was one item that was held for security for repayment, alone with 3 other items. The bailif didn't seized the other items because he said that they were to far gone.
The plaintiff, signed a release, and I believe that I do not owe her anything, as she has been paid for the money owed to her.
Can I oppose or contest this seizure and get my backhoe back and a signed release of the backhoe and the other 3 items?

Are you saying the seizure was improper as the plaintiff had been paid in full?
Did you show the bailiff the release?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
No, because the notary has the original release and I have asked the notary several times for him to send me a copy. But, right now it is in the hands of a lawyer. So thank you for getting back to me. No need to have a response now, as a lawyer is involved.
