This might be more of a rant, but who knows. I'm in
I'm in Ontario....I have been employed for 32 years at this establishment, I have been working 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday for the last 20 years then Covid 19 came along. So in order for me to continue working I was asked to switch my schedule around to working 4pm to Midnight and work weekends. With the agreement that once our business is back to normal I would go back to 8am to 4pm with my weekends off. Well I am back to 8am to 4pm but they refuse to give me my regular days off. The problem I have is other employees are given the choice of what shifts and what days they are willing to work. I have an altering family changes happening in Sept. I asked if I could switch my days off from Monday Tuesday TO Sunday Monday and I have been told no. Other employees can pick and choose what days they will or won't work with the allowance to work extra days to keep their weekly total hours and I am not allowed any changes if I need a day off for family reasons I loose the hours and not allowed to pick up or work to balance my hours. Is this just a rant or do I have any grounds? … read more
