AB Divorce. My ex and I separated in 2008 and provided our full disclosures in 2010. Through mediation, we determined he owed me money so he quit the mediation and refused to speak. He has now had his lawyer request my current disclosure. I have maintained the matrimonial home and made many significant upgrades and renovations. It has gone up considerably in value. He is a very aggressive and angry individual and I do not trust him and am worried he has created a lot of bogus debt and hid money in the interim.
Furthermore, he was removed from the home from the Calgary City Police and monitored by the Family Violence Unit and not allowed to see the children for a time period. Once I started allowing him to have visitation as the kids were older, he bribed them to go and live with them and then told them that there was a court order not allowing them to reside with me. From my Dr. and his Psychiatrists (Dr. Jon Amundson) advice, they felt I should just stop the fight and "go on vacation" sort of speak. I have done this while he has completely excluded me from any of the children's schooling, sports activities, medical appointments, etc. He literally would not let the kids know where their practices or games were prior to their arrival so that they could not tell me where they were going. He has had them for just over 2 years now and has never asked for a dime until just recently where he asked my stance on sharing one of the children's out of pocket dental expenses. I responded asking why he would request this when I was never advised, consulted, invited to the appointments, advised of new doctors, etc. I have not received a response. Do you also think he may have a case to come after me for child support? Lot's of questions!
