Pursuant to Ontario law, all of the pension earned prior to the marriage would be exempt from any division.
That would be the case no matter where you are residing. An application to divide property could be made in Ontario even if you reside in some other jurisdiction, as long as there are assets still located in Ontario or subject to Ontario control, such as a pension plan administered in the province.
