I joined Motion Specialists on March14 as Customer Service-Sales position in their Grande Prairie store. They had a second employee as technician service person. Things went quit well for a couple of weeks as we were busy preparing for opening the store. Tech was setting up a stair lift display and I noticed he was struggling with holding up the rail equipment and screwing the lift rail into the floor and steps. I offered him my help and was abruptley yelled at to leave him alone and to stop bothering him. I was not expecting his rude response based on my offer to help. 5-7 days later he was struggling setting up the pourch lift and again I was abruptly yelled at and to stop bothering him. This action by him was totally unexpected as through my training with Motion is was highly emphysied that all employees must treat other employees with respect. This is something that the tech was certainly not showing me. This action happened two more times with again no response from me. On April 14th I wet into hospital for emergency surgery on bladder cancer and then flown to Edmonton for an unexpected heart pacemaker. I was not expecting the additional pacemaker hospital stay but let Motion know of what was happening and they seemed not to have a problem with me looking after my health. I returned to Motion work on May 2nd after a 1 week recovery time recommended by the doctor at the heart clinic. The tech again started yelling and making rude comments that I was not happy with. There were a number of times that I was dealing with a customer in the front showroom showing nothing but professionalism and knowledge of the equipment when the tech rudely butted in and interrupted my selling process. I asked him a number of times that when I am in the selling process could he not interrupt unless I ask him a question. One time I was attempting to sell a walker to an elder lady and her daughter. The elderly lady was quite tall and I adjusted the stroller to properly fit her size. They were both quite happy with my presentation of the product and were interested in buying. I was preparing to ask the closing question when the tech butted in and started the presentation all over again showing them exactly what I had just showed them. They ended up leaving the store with no sale. I went home that night and could not sleep because of the rude interaction of the tech. The next day I went in and rudely thanked him for messing up my sale to the two ladies. He basically left me alone for the next couple of days and did not inform me that he was leaving the store and gave me no information as to when he would return. He approached me in a couple of days and told me that I better not talk to him like that again or he would have me fired. I responded to him that it was him who started this type of action and that he had lost me a number of sales by his interruptions. The end of April came and went with the tech leaving the store early on most days by at lease an hour. I brought in my vehicle for oil pan repair and flex pipe (exhaust system component) for agreed price on Friday July 2 and picked up my vehicle and paid Southkeys Tires and Brakes (STB) at 15:10. I drove the vehicle for approximately 9 minutes and 10.0 KM, the vehicle was making noises from the exhaust and suddenly the oil light came on, check engine light and vehicle shuts off as I am driving on 417 HWY. I manage to pull off HWY and check engine. Dip stick is bone dry, no oil in engine. Due to having oil in car due to rust tank requiring replacement 2 days earlier and booked in with auto shop for next available apt, I had a half quart of oil I put in vehicle immediately. I call repair shop once visual inspection and such as fluids check (oil etc) at 15:44 and alert of immediate issue. Call lasts 2 minutes I alert them they did not put oil back in my car after replacing oil pan. I make my way to merchant who sells motor oil and purchase at 15:57 (see Walmart receipt) and due to dip stick being dry fill to Full line approx. another 2.5 L. My car would not run. Repair Shop dodged my calls and messages for next 2 days. Finally owner called me back, stated he isn't liable and "pure coincidence", I have contacted licensed mechanics and dealt directly with the Hyundai Bank St dealership who is providing a diagnostic break down of events.
