Me and my brother purchased a property on October 29th,Me and my brother purchased a property on October 29th, 2014. He paid for acquiring the house and downpayment due to which he took 60% of the house and I took 40%. Also, in addition to that, my brother also paid mortgage and utility for 7 months he also paid accelerated payments by choice. After that, I paid him 50% of the mortgage of and utility to compensate him for allowing me to take time off the seven months as I was getting married and was in financial crisis. I paid him 50% for approximately 6.5 years. Now, I would like to move out and want to claim my share of 40% and he is not agreeing to it because he feels that he deserves my share as well. He also says, you can take the Principle and leave. Please advise me where I stand on the legal spectrum with this issue. I have also tried to talk to him about buying out and selling the property, he did not agree to that as well. Please advise me on what I should do and if my case is valid enough to get my share. Thank you for your time and consideration. Looking forward to hearing from you … read more
