I need a personal injury lawyer (preferably female) in
Saskatchewan (SASKATOON) who would represent me in a injury claim - where I fell and severely broke my hip and femur as a result of a female employee's rude intrusion between another salesperson and myself who were having an innocent conversation. I have fired a male lawyer because he did not present my case in a proper manner - he somehow felt that I could only win a case for injuries IF the store was somehow negligent due to some failure to keep passages clear, or some other visible area of disarray that could have contributed to my accident.
The fact is this accident occurred because a female clerk, for some reason took a dislike to me personally and was furious that I was talking and joking with a young fellow employee.
She displayed this hostility through visual contact on several occasions. I attempted to make eye contact with her to acknowledge her but she would immediately look away. I felt I could not defuse her hostility so I chose to ignore her. I was not aware of the time she changed location in the store (a closer location to where we were talking) when she abruptly barged between the two of us (we were about 3 feet apart). I was so startled and remember thinking "HOW RUDE!". Normally one would ask to be excused for the intrusion. In this case, because there was a clear path on either side of myself and the other salesman, her action was completely unnecessary. I truly believe that this was the sole reason for her sudden intrusion and the only reason for her actions because she clearly could have had access to the sample she said she needed by going either behind the salesman or myself without disturbing us at all!

I cannot find a precedent for any other similar law suit but I firmly believe that the Carpet Company should be responsible for the behaviour of their sales staff.
Even though this type of hostility cannot easily be detected - IT VERY DEFINITELY EXISTS - and I believe the buying public (in most cases, women) are entitled to shop freely without being the innocent victim of another person's jealousy, hatred or whatever. I believe it is the employer's responsibility to school their employees in proper manners and let them know that such displays of personal feelings are unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
