I don't know the law in HK.
If someone works in Ontario then as far as Ontario is concerned the employer (domestic or foreign) must adhere to our employment standards.
And that would be the case no matter what the contract says.
If the law in HK is the same then you would need to adhere to the standards in HK.
There are no experts from HK on this list but I do suggest you consult with a lawyer in HK who does employment law before drafting the contract in a final way and having it signed.
If you want to speak to a lawyer in Ontario that does work or has an office in HK that could work.
What you can do to find a lawyer is one of the following things.
You can contact the Law Society and use their Lawyer Referral Service. You will be given the name of a lawyer and can consult with the lawyer and the first half hour will be free.
