I paid mid way thru a bathroom renovation. the end result is terrible. I have taken pictures. tiles and grout are missing, garbage swept and left over missing tiles, grout and silcone between floor and walls very, very bad. I obtained 4 quotes from other contractors attesting the work is not only very poor, wrong materials were used. the shower doors are on backwards, pictures show 'this side out', bathroom has to be regut.
I previously purchased the tiles. When I saw the results I explained the grouting etc is terrible, was toldnot too worry when it dries it will look beautiful and to not enter the bathroom as floor had to dry. Later that evening, from the entrance I crouched down and that is when I saw the missing tiles from the floor and wall behind the vanity, small bits of cardboard used as spacers. I left a terse message for the owner who gave me a quote and assigned this employee to do the work. I did not use the kings language, in the background my husband said 'we will get you' implying in court. I sent an email the next day listing the problems, returned saying I would have to wait until the holidays were over if I didnt want the same person to fix the problems. Later that day the owner left a message stating he spoke to his lawyer and will not return due to a hostile environment. As well during the reno, there was an electrical problem after he installed the wall light receptacle, the owner brought in an electrican who explained to the owner who explained to the worker how to fix it the next day. I do not know the workers last name as I would like to find out if he has an electricians license. short of calling the owner who has refused all contact with me. Can I request the owner give me this info.
I want to sue in small claims court, however with this message interpeted as a threat is that taken into account. I believe the pictures speak why I was so upset. Thank you
