Just wondering -- do you know if Judges talk to one another…

It has been almost two years now and the Court file is getting bigger and bigger! I can't imagine any Judge sitting down to read all that ugh! I understand that "the various outstanding preliminary issues" can take many years to get resolved, if ever.

I know as a teacher, in the staff room, we would sometimes discuss little Johnny with the previous year's teacher. Not necessarily in a derogatory way, but just to see how they're coming along or to take delight in their uniquenesses or whatever. One might say that is not professional.

It's just that this whole thing seems to be going on forever.

I don't think my brother wants this to go to trial and as you said, he seems to be harassing me. He has told several people that his plan is to wear me down. He leaves threatening messages on my answering machine plus similar e-mails -- copying my relatives! So is that what Plaintiffs sometimes do in order to get the other person to settle ... intimidate, instill fear, wear the other person down, so that they eventually give in to the demands?

So do most settle in the course of the hearings? Do they only go to trial if they can't get resolved in the hearings?

Does the Judge let the hearings go on ad infinitum or might he suggest a trial?

Is there any average number of hearings a case can endure or ballpark figure you can tell me?
