I live in Toronto at 1401 dupont st. To make a very longMy name is ***** ***** I live in Toronto at***** To make a very long story short, my landlord holding company installed an online payment system in March that we were required to use instead of paying our rent as usual. This system initially charged an extra fee for all payment types available at the time, which i was uncomfortable with. I tried workarounds and attempted to get help from my building management, as a result my rent was late a few times. I am renovating my cottage in Orilia, Ontario. We had aMy name is Sandi. I am renovating my cottage in Orilia, Ontario. We had a ductwork layout, duct report, heat loss and ventilation summary report prepared and forwarded all reports/information to our HVAC company who is installing our ductwork and piping for heating, ventilation and air conditioning. The reports clearly state an HRV system, which is mandatory for all new builds in Ontario. The HVAC company neglected to advise us of this until a week before all work was completed. Now they are requesting an additional $3,000.00 for the installation of an HRV system. Had they advise us of this, we would have had a chance to check this out, speak to the building department, they could have quote as well as we could have got other quotes or gone with a total different system. I don't think I should have to pay any more money because they didn't review the reports correctly? What should I do? … read more
