Things that could help prove the intent to return could also be:
- bank accounts in home country
- academic programs to return to
- family ties in home country

You'd need to find documentation to prove these... bank statements, enrollment documentation for the upcoming semester, a statement evidencing that her only family ties are in the DR, etc.

Another good thing to include in the application is the fact that you are on a TN living in the US - it goes towards showing that her visit would only be temporary in nature because you'd have to return to your work. So documentation proving that time-frame (your need to return to the US) will help also.

Think of this application as though you're explaining your travel plans to an Officer at the point of entry. They want to see that you have an itinerary for the trip, that the trip is of a definite duration and that she has to return (and in your case that you, too, would have to leave at the end of the trip because you have to go back to work). The difference is that you just have to make that argument, and support it, through documentary means.
