Hello, Iam a 47 professional female and I rent a whole house from the landlord who is fully aware that I am doing this and as long as he corrects the rent from me monthly he trusts me to sublet not only the basemen but the two other room upsairs and keep the place clean and in good repair which it is. Three of us who share the whole upstairs. when I get new tenants I ask that they provide advance deposit to hold the place as as well as damage deposit for any damage incurred. , fill in an application and 2 pieces of picture ID. I found some items missing in my roo...pescriptions, clothing, and the gentleman downstairs said he thought cash was stolen from his suite and he was not here. Nothing could be proven BUT when my roomie was gone for 5 days I was worried and called the energency contact on her application who told me she was incarcerated fort theft. Not the pices are falling into place. He said she had a bad drug problem and I have seen her under the influence on many occassions. that in its is also breaking the terms of the leave as I don't want drugs, alcohol ot intoxicated people on the property. They can be too volatile and they are staying only fgor short term so I don't really get to know them. I can't get any message to the Remand Centre, where she told her boygriend she was, and she's made no arrangements about what I should do with her stuff. I have no idea if she's goinr gfot 2 weeks or 2 bt don't I a responsible for storing or taking care of her stuff especially since it was in doing my diligence that I even found out what happened,, Needless to say I don't want her back and I want to change the locks do she won't be tempted to come steal more.
