She cannot change the locks if you are one of the owners.

You can call the police and they should assist you in getting into the house.

It sounds like you may need to have a lawyer send her a letter.

I am not suggesting that you sue her but it sounds like she needs to become more aware of the law and her legal obligations and your legal rights.

Thank you Debra and yes, I do have legal counsel but it is so darn hard to get an answer expediently. Since I can ask a couple of more questions, please if you can answer these as well:

I also have approximately a 40 acre parcel which is ready for organic gardening, but she wants a local farmer to come in and grow corn or whatever with all the chemicals that this entails. Can I stop her from doing this?
The rest of the property is hardwood with 1000 immature walnut trees ... does she have any right to remove ANY of these trees?
Since the oil man could not get up to the house without the trimming back of the trees along the length of the driveway, she opted to have then completely removed, much to my chagrin as they had been trimmed each year as I wanted eventually to have a canopy over the driveway ... which obviously is now moot, not to mention that they were cut off approximately 4 feet from the ground.

I think these questions are really all part and parcel of the same issue.
The problem seems to be that you do not have a formal agreement as to how things will be managed. That's because you are family.
So really now what you have to do is come up with some agreement about how you will make decisions from now on.
If you cannot do this it may be that one of you needs to buy the other out unfortunately.

It may be that retaining the services of a mediator would work best in a case like this.

I have tried all of the above but if the sun is shining and the sky is blue, she just has to disagree, so a mediator is out. She has also received a letter that if she does not agree to a sale by the 13th of this month, I will be going for a court judgement forcing the sale of the complete property. Thanks for your help.
