If the hospital actually admits negligence then it's hard to see why a settlement has not been offered.

What you should do, without a doubt, is consult with a medical malpractice lawyer.

When I met with them they said that the hospital failed her and that they were negligent. This response came unanimously from the CEO and Chief of ER. Because noone had seen her for 3 hours her bleed from the fall became worse and by thetime it was detected it was too late. There were no vital signs or checks done on her in 3 hours of arrival....I was not offered anything and wanted to pursue this but am afraid could they let me go?

Would it not be wrongful dissmisal if they let me go....the chart I saw showed noone looking at her for 3 hours...again the team of doctors and CEO stated in my meeting they failed her and were negligent....she was not given the chance to survive.....they agreed......

I am in a union but have not said anything to them as I do not think they had to get involved with her case....have been off due to mental stress and depression.

It will be harder to dismiss you if you are in a union.

Thanks.....the sad thing is the doctors at the other hospital told my 3 siblings and I for each hour she was not seen the window of opportunity to save her lessened. This hospital has not been in good books lately.....thanks for the help....
