no we used a mediater.

It is possible for him to apply for a retroactive adjustment and it's possible that the Court would consider his application in that the Court would look at all the facts.
If you are earning much more than he did and if your child went without at his house then it's possible a Court could make a retroactive adjustment. Child support is the right of the child and so it is your child that was entitled to that level of support.
And your ex-spouse never had the benefit of independent legal advice and it's very surprising that a mediator was involved and didn't caution you both about the need for independent legal advice.
At the same time the Court would not go back more than three years.
It would be best for you to consult with a family lawyer, face to face, so a lawyer can review your details.
