Re Employer Life Insurance. Can a male leave the noted Insurance…

Hi Debra.

Even tho you advertise 24/7 I'm surprised to have you respond so quickly.

This couple are Filipino, she in Alberta for 10 yrs and she brought him over to Canada.

She says the marriage is finished...he refusing to be considerate, other than when

he talks "business". They sleep in separate bedrooms,, do not eat to-gether or do

any activity to-gether. They both work. He has told her that he has named his

nieces and nephews as Beneficiaries (probably told her to be hurtful). The do not

have children of their own. Thanks Debra.

But at his death, unless they separate or divorce etc she will have a claim to the estate if she doesn't end up with half the family assets.

Clarification on this point: If they don't separate or divorce, can she claim to be the

whole beneficiary, including the Insurance?? OR if she ends up with half of the

family assets, is she then unable to claim any Insurance??
