VerifiedIs the husband mentally competent?
Did she have a POA for care over the husband at least before yesterday?

If the husband is mentally competent she can at this point immediately have him revoke all Powers of Attorney and appoint her.
If this was done before it's not really possible for her to assign that POA to someone else though it sounds like she did.
She can revoke that as well.
So that is what she should do at once.
The hospital cannot give her advice but I would guess they would have the necessary forms.
If she has a lawyer she should call the lawyer as soon as possible.
If not it sounds like she should get one as that lawyer that she saw had no right to get her to sign anything without legal advice and it's very worrisome that she really doesn't know what she signed.
