Is there anything I can do about being treated unfairly at my job. I was Head of Housekeeping at a hotel where I reside. Due to health issues I was having from the stress that was being caused from my direct supervisor, I was advised by my doctor to step down from my position. My direct supervisor told one of my co workers who also works a second job as a greeter at a large store in which this second place of employment is where she was told in front of other public, that because of heart problems I was stepping down, not that I was having health issues. From there my shifts seem to be cut, my hours also were cut, people doing the same job were not expected to the same work as me they did less. The hotel was not as busy but he had people doing my position that were hired to do other postions in the hotel. Things seem to be getting worse so again advised by my doctor I quit my job. Even after I left the manager didn't put in for my ROE on time and my refund for my uniform. It was well after 10 days that I received my renumeration for it. He said head office forgot but when I spoke to them they said he didn't tell them till that day. I have now been out of employment since April 29th 2011 and have no income as I am waiting for my EI to start. This was a job that I loved and that I was good at. I felt that they didn't believe that there was anything wrong with me and wanted me to quit because the new manager and I didn't get along for the most part, alot of this had to do with him treating me different and me standing up for myself. Is there anything I can further do as I have talked to representatives of Alberta Employment Standards, The Office of the Information and Privacy Commision of Alberta, and Alberta Human Rights?
