If you only have a work permit but not "permanent residency" you would not be able to secure "non-residency" for tax purposes (which is where you really seem to be going with this).
in terms of your Citizenship, it would not be affected by successfully qualifying as "non-resident" for tax purpposes. Loss of citizenship (particularly native citizenship) is quite difficult and actually requires a very specific application that you must submit to the government of Canada to renounce it.
As far as non-residency for tax purposes, that is relatively easier to obtain but quite difficult nonetheless. For information on how to qualify for it, see: LINK.
