A separation agreement would help, but that will open the door for her to claim from you indemnification for her contribution to joint debts that you escaped by the bankruptcy, so it may be better to let that sleeping dog lie.

The children could go back into the state of being entitled to child support if they return to a full time post secondary educational program. But there's little point in worrying about that unless and until that happens. There's no cut off age in the legislation, but at some point children are adults and responsible for their own education. I've seen some judges say that after age 25 if the child wants to go back to school then it's their own freight that they have to carry. But if the child has been in school full time continuously and is pursuing post graduate level work, support can well be ordered past that point. But it depends on the facts.

Your support would be determined by your income at the time the claim is made. She can't get a support order against you out of the blue, unless she goes to court claiming that you can't be found for service.
