I have a question about a real estate issue in New Brunswick…

I have another question about a real estate issue in New Brunswick province Canada, although I will accept an appropriate answer for another province if necessary. This event takes place in 1830. Mr. A owns lot 10 on the Harpers survey, the official lot survey map for NB. Mr. B owns lot 11, next to Mr. A. Mr. A sells his lot 10 to Mr. C but inadvertently specifies lot 11, Mr. B's property, as the item being sold. Mr. C, the buyer, settles into the incorrect property, lot 11, and is not challanged at move in. Forty seven years later (1877), Mr. C sells the lot 11 property to Mr. D. There may have been a challange to the ownership of lot 11 during the 1830-1877 period, but the 1877 sale went forward, and Mr. D later sold it to a Mr. E in 1902, whose family owns it to this day. There apparently was another challange to the land in 1943, but Mr. E persevered. During the period 1830 to 1910, the land was intermittently farmed by the various occupiers, but no buildings or sheds were built until 1912. Mr.'s C,D, and E paid taxes on the land during eaches ownership, from 1830 to present. My question is does Mr. E's family have legal ownership of lot 11, and why or why not,? Thanks, XXXXX
