She did not contribute to the value of the assets. major portion was his inheritance from my father years before he started his CL relationship

If the insurance does not pay out the mortgage can she claim anything from the estate? My brother died within 24 months of the mortgage being issued and the insurance company is looking 24 months prior to the mortgage being issued to see if he was actually eligible for insurance.
