So, when he added your name no witnessed signed that they observed that then?
And was the original Will typed up?

No one witnessed it and yes the original will is typed.

A Will cannot be changed by writing on it.
At the same time if there is a clear intention it could be the case that a Court would Order that the Will be treated as valid.
Courts have recognized photocopies of original Wills, for example, even though they are not considered to be valid.
I would suggest that if you consult with a local estate lawyer.
What you can do to find a lawyer is one of the following things.
You can contact the BC Branch of the Canadian Bar Association and use their Lawyer Referral Service. You will be given the name of a lawyer and can consult with the lawyer and the first half hour will be $25.
Or you can check on a site called lexpert. This is a legal directory of leading lawyers and law firms throughout Canada and is well-respected by the legal community.
