But the Lease is a binding contract.
They are saying you have breached the contract.
You do have to keep the premises maintained and in good repair and do have to get them quiet enjoyment of their premises.
It's not clear whether or not these examples would constitute your breaching your responsibilities or not.
If the don't pay you can sue them for the remainder of the lease. Then is will come down to whether you breached the lease or not.
The Court would look at whether the had little kids, where the dogs were defecating, how often this occurred, whether they knew before hand that you had dogs and used this pad etc.
