I am a chronic pain person who works full time at caw local 27 in london ontario been there for 5=6 years part time and full time for 13 years. I have a union but not much help there. I was put off work for 7 months and I submitted doctors forms signed by my doctor and I also had a specialist who sent stuff in but Green shield does not want to pay me, they keep saying they need more information. One issue is my ulcer I have had it 19 years and I am to the point I need surgery no other recourse but since I have not been paid yet I can not afford to go off again not to mention risk not being paid again I will lose my house and all if Ihave to go off work again from lack of money now that i am in real debt because I Have yet to be paid. Green shield has paid for my medication for many years ulcer medication, and pain medication and anything else I need yet they say they need more information. Unfortunately my doctor is super busy since he is the one and only person in london other than st. joseph hospital who takes care of chronic pain patients. My employer knew of my condition prior to be being full time and they gave it to me anyway. I find as I get older I am having more problems which is natural but i get nothing but static from them. I also hurt my rotator cuff and had to claim wcb but my employer wrote a letter saying I was in a major car accident which is a total lie I was in one at 16 and not since. So they made wcb believe I am lying about the rotator cuff, so needless to say my claim was denied. I am not worried about the rotator cuff since i have fixed that problem I went to physio and returned to my excerises swimming and I have no more issues with that. I do have a bad back though I hurt it 19 years ago so this is not new. I am wondering if there is anything I can do about green shield not paying for all those months, I am now paying big penalities for owing so much out penalities and such. I will have to claim bankrupt if I do not get paid soon. Is there anything I can do?? My doctor is super busy he filled out all forms and signed them so why do i have a problem ? can you help me at all?
