OK, you don't want to open a new thread for each reply to me or else you're going to have a lot more money held in your JA account than you think, depending on your type of account.

If the inheritance was put into the matrimonial home 20 years ago then most likely the court would say that the inherited money has lost its "exempt from division status" because of both the length of time that's passed and that the matrimonial home's equity is almost always equally divisible regardless of who paid for what.

The RRSPs held by one person before cohabitation/marriage is an asset brought into the relationship, and the value of that remains theirs. The increase in the value of the RRSP over that period is part of the Net Family Property, the value of which is divisible.

This can get complicated. Each spouse really ought to see their own lawyer and try to come to some agreement regarding property division. Going to court over money often leads to a ton of legal fees and hard feelings, and everyone loses in the end.
