Regarding child support, it is set pursuant to the Federal Child Support Guidelines, as you are likely aware. The facts you have described may give rise to a change in circumstances so that you can stop paying support for your 19 year old daughter. Child support is the right of the child, not the parent. If she is uncertain about whether she wants to attend post-secondary school and is capable of being self-supporting, there is no reason to continue the support unless and until she makes her decision to attend school. With regard to children attending post-secondary education, there are a number of circumstances to take into account regarding the amount payable. Tuition and other expenses can be calculated and shared by the parents based on their proportionate incomes - your situation presents some difficulties in that regard because of the income (or lack of income) of your ex-spouse - her household income may become relevant as a result.

With regard to spousal support, it is the goal under the Divorce Act for each spouse to become economically self-sufficient within a reasonable time after separation. After an 18 year marriage and a 6 year separation, it is likely reasonable to say that your ex spouse ought to have taken significant steps to become self-sufficient. Given the circumstances you describe, it may well be that spousal support should be coming to an end. You are not expected to pay spousal support ad infinitum under these circumstances.

I am unclear as to whether you are paying support pursuant to a court order or a separation agreement, or either. If it is a court order you need to bring an application to amend it based on circumstances. If it is a separation agreement, it needs to be renegotiated - if agreement can't be reached, then resort needs to be made to the court.
