VerifiedA strata corp. can issue a notice of eviction under the Residential Tenancies Act if a tenant is interfering with the enjoyment of another occupant's property. You should avail yourself of the voluntary dispute resolution by-law and advocate to the strata council that you will ensure that your son turns the volume down. If the remedies cannot proceed against your son, as the owner of the unit, the strata corp. could seek judicial relief against you. If the controversy continues you should retain a civil litigation lawyer familiar with condominium law. The BC Law Society's lawyer referral service(NNN) NNN-NNNN can provide you with names of local civil litigation lawyers familiar with condominium law.

She also does not like with I use my ceiling fan in my bedroom. I have made accomodations to minimize my ceiling fan usage and only use it when it is very hot outside. I also have been literally watching movies... turning up the volume when the talking parts comes on so I can hear it and turning it down when gunfire or explosions come up. This has caused some anxiety simply watching TV. Her complaints have been escalated to strata. Strata now stating they "think" I am being unreasonable and now want to meet with me regarding this. I pushed back stating as my neighbour has admittedly told me that she is "sensitive to any noise" and I have even made the above accomodations. Also, I have a letter from the unit adjacent to me and below me stating that I am not at all a nuisance to them and that they have no complaints at all about the noise emanating from my unit. This has caused me undue stress as I am simply trying to live my life. Also, my neighbours above can be heard arguing and having domestic disputes from time to time.
