Pensions are treated the same as all other assets. They cannot be considered in isolation but are part of the full asset picture.

Generally all assets (aside from gifts and inheritances) that are acquired during the marriage are shared). But, that's not to say that you can rely on sharing any one asset. You have to consider what assets are in each of your names, what is held jointly etc and then work out your respective entitlements from there.
