It is all about the best interests of the children. Most courts like to see children having contact with extended family if it is in their best interests.
Plainly spoken, children have rights and adults only have responsibilities.
If the Grandparents are disruptive, you have every right to define when and how they see your children if at all. Your duty is to expose the children to positive experiences and to protect them from negative ones. You are the parent.
My instinct is that with a 12 week old child, more is going on here if they are already suggesting court. They have an ability to go to court but no rights unless there is an issue about the best interests of the children.
It sounds like you are being bullied.
Do not be afraid of a family court on your facts. Bring it on. Many people fold because the concept of having to go to court sounds so scary. Family courts are often the best place to be if someone is being unreasonable about children.
You are the mother and you have to decide what is best. That is your responsibility.
