I'm unclear about your question. If you are being sponsored there would be no GST (Goods and Services Tax, 6.5%) or PST (Provincial Sales Tax or QST in Quebec, % varies) payable to you for your services as an employee.
Customers would pay the taxes as applicable to the services performed to your employer.
There will be income tax payable in Canada on your salary, however, and for more information on that you can review the CRA's (Canada Revenue Agency) website at: http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/menu-e.html.

No, there is no tax credit that is given per se. There is a tax agreement between the United States and Canada. In broad terms income earned in Canada is taxed in Canada, however, as a US citizen you are taxed on your international income regardless of your residence. The tax treaty avoids the double taxation that would otherwise occur.
You would need to consult with your accountant on the precise form that would need to be filed with the IRS come the April filing season but your taxes would be paid in Canada directly.
