I lived in Alberta for 15 years. 5 years ago I decided that I wanted to move back to Ohio (where I grew up) to be with my family. I have 3 children with two different fathers. My daughter's father fought it in court and lost. My sons' dad signed an affidavit agreeing to let my sons come with me and I had fully intended for that to happen. The judge's decision weighed heavily on the children being kept together.

Once down in the states, my oldest son, then 13, decided that he wanted to live in Edmonton and he moved back with his dad. My youngest son, who was born with a cleft lip and palate needed more surgery and, with his team in Alberta, traveled back and forth in order to be able to keep his health care and get the surgery he needed from the team he had always had.

He now travels back and forth every other year, with me one year and his dad the next. It has worked well for us at this age (he is still in elementary school).

I have always granted generous access above and beyond the court order for my daughter. Last year, I even let her go up and live the entire school year with her father at his request. At the time, he agreed (and I have emails to prove it), that he would not take me back to court and would not try to make it permanent.

He is now threatening to take me back to court for her permanent residence to be with him in Edmonton, saying that I lied about the boys moving here with me. Does he have any chance of having that reopened?
