Summons to the Defendant.

A claim has been made against you by the Plantiff in teh attched Statement of claim.

It was dropped off by a Commissionair at my house and my common law signed for it at the door. It was about a month or so ago.

No I don't know what that is.

The court document that was brought to my house states:

"You must appear before the presiding Provincial Court Judge at Provincial Court, Civil Division, 4th floor,XXXXX Regina, Saskatchewan on Wednesday the 4th day of November,2009, at 10:00 o'clock a.s.,"

The purpose of your court attendance is for a trial.

Statement of Plantiff's claim:

The Plantiff claims against the defendant for damges in the amount of $700.00 arising out of a motor vehicle collision on July 2, 2009 at which time the defendant Terri Silzer operated a motor vehicle negligently so that same collided with the plaintiff's vehicle causing the said damages. The said accident occured at teh corner of Rink Avenue & Kelsey Street n the City of Regina, in the Province of Saskatchewan

Yes. I received some information for SGI (Saskatchewan Government Insurance) but it was just basic information about the accident (the other girls statement) and if I wanted to go to small claims court and if I did I was to call a number. I got her statement and her pictures of her car but that's it. Her statement is 10 sentences long that clearly state I did not turn and hit her.

I just don't know what I am supposed to do in small claims court? The accident was not my fault but how do I prove that?

I am just trying to follow through with SGI (Sask Government Insurance) to try and figure out what I missed because your right it doesn't sound right. All I got was a letter from the Provincial Court stating I was to attend a court date (trial). The other lady is stating I am liable for the accident and wants me to pay her deductable and take the damage to the safety rating of my license.

I am just trying to figure out what I prepare for at court. What types of questions do people ask?
