Dear Madam, Sir, Nearly 3 years ago I fell in the basement…

In reply to your need of more information regarding my claim please read the following answers to your questions.

1) There was much correspondence and telephone calls before I sent the MISE EN DEMEURE + meeting with the sinister expert of said building. I AM NOT OUT OF DELAY.

2) My claim is to the company who owns this building and their insurers (jointly).

3) I have made a claim 3 weeks ago, in writing, for $15,000 after talking to a lawyer in Montreal but realize it was probably too low.

THEY HAVE NOT ACKNOWLEDGED THE RECEPTION OF THE CLAIM AND HAVE NOT YET CONTACTED ME. I sent my claim by EMAIL to the sinister expert who I was in contact with. I did not give him any delay to respond. He said the insurers were asking him for my claim. That's it so far.

N.B. The firm I was then working with was paying for my car parking under the building.

I have already paid $45. yesterday to get an answer which has not arrived yet. In other words I have paid for NOTHING. Honestly, I am not working at the moment and my money does not grow on trees. So therefore, I would appreciate an answer in the best delay possible....before I make an official complaint about this website. I am a legal assistant and I know some facts of law. I dont't mean to send threats but I am not willing to give any amount of money with a promise to have a decent answer in return and receive it.

Please act accordingly and provide me with a decent answer.

Thanks for your reply. I am also in a situation where I cannot sit in front of my computer and wait for an answer. While I am out of work, I do some other kind of work and sit for animals, which brings me out most of the day. Now to make it clear about my claim, yes I did sit down with a lawyer and she did not recommend I seek an expert advice since I already had seen and had XRays by a HAND SPECIALIST IN ORTHOPEDY at the Montreal General Hospital and same doctor confirmed that the very tiny small bone that was fractured at the moment of the impact (fall) was a very tiny bone and said that most people who have this bone fractured do not realize it before 1 year after the accident since this tiny bone is so small it ruptures and goes in different directions and since the pain is not excruciating, people usually go about their usual work and they finally end up in the hospital for Xrays 1 year later because the pain doesn't go away. The XRay report mentions: arthrose trapézo-metacarpienne et inter-phalangienne distale. (sorry do not know the translation for this).

The name of that very small bone that was fractured is on the report I sent to the Insurance Sinister Expert and unfortunately I cant't find it now. (it is located at the joint of the thumb and the wrist)

And I repeat I did sit down with a lawyer and discussed and brought all my papers. She suggested, based on passed jurisprudence and doctrine, that I claim 20-30 K. I brought it down to 15,000$ to lower lawyers expenses since she would have taken nearly 50% of the amount and I would have had to go to Superior Court. I lowered the claim in order to get payment and if necessary to go to Small Claims. But now, after thinking it over, I think it may be too low. I am right handed and the thumb is the force of the hand, you realize it when it is damaged, so no matter what I do, I hurts, sometimes I can barely lift a cup or a small plate.

I repeat I saw a lawyer and she saw all my papers.....please do not tell me to go sit face to face with a lawyer. I have already done so. I am presently without work, do not have a lot to spend THIS IS WHY I ACCEPED TO PAY TO HAVE AN ANSWER FROM YOU. Please answer what I should honestly claim.
