No, if one party is requesting a divorce, it will eventually happen. If the parties have not resolved all of the outstanding property, custody, support issues, then it may take longer, but it will happen.
With respect to property division, under the Family Law Act, an application for property division (including the pension) may not be brought after 6 years from the date of separation.
