There is nothing that can be done to move this along.
There are a few possible outcomes. One is that this gets settled because she is finally given an offer she cannot refuse. But, there may not be one as she may want her day in Court.
Another is that they both agree to try mediation. This is a different way to settle things. It is much faster than Court and a good mediator can often get the parties to reach a settlement.
Another is that they agree that if the mediation doesn't work then the mediator then becomes an arbitrator and her/his decision is final. This is like a private court situation where there can even be a trial. It's faster than going to Court and cheaper though very expensive.
Or, the matter has to go to Court. If they haven't started that process yet it will not happen until well after the baby is born.
The truth is that if he has one of the top lawyers in Calgary then the lawyer best knows what to do. Perhaps, though, the lawyer should understand about the baby and your concerns.
I am sorry you are in such a difficult situation. These things tend to drag on and three years in this type of situation isn't even that long.
