In BC you can do a lien search for $10 at your local driving licence centre, at some government agent offices or at the Personal Property Registry in Victoria.

You can call the Personal Property Registry at(NNN) NNN-NNNN

These searches will only turn up liens registered in BC.

You can also order a CarProof Verified BC Vehicle History Report.

The CarProof report includes a Canada-wide enforceable lien search.
