You cannot lay charges. Your daughter can seek to have her father charged if he's committed a crime such as assault but as she is a competent adult it will be hard to convince the police or a Court to charge him and there's no evidence from what you've said of assault.

If he's hurt your daughter indirectly then her recourse would be to sue him civilly. But, she won't do that and even if you attempted to sue him saying he hurt you because he hurt her you will not have her evidence to help you because she will side with him.

Law suits are terrible expensive and you would have to fund the law suit which would not make sense unless you were sure you would succeed in collecting damages.

If there was parental alienation you had to deal with that when she was a child and not when she's a mature woman unfortunately.

You can give her evidence but this isn't going to be considered a criminal matter. Her only remedy would be a civil law suit.

This actually isn't about money. It's about what the criminal justice system is for and it's not for this type of issue as the father may not have been careful enough, may have even been negligent but this types of behaviours aren't covered by our Criminal Code, and, as such, there is no jurisdiction for the police involvement.

If you can give the evidence to your daughter you can tell her it's for a potential law suit and she can decide whether she wants to pursue this further.
