Once a year, each associate is given 6 family and friends discount coupons. They just arrived last week. One of the cards was for a girl that no longer is in my store but still with the company and still entitled to them. I spoke with her about 2 weeks ago and she said go ahead and use mine if you can as I won't be needing them. Instead of using my own coupon on Saturday, I used one of hers. It does say that it must be signed by the associate it was intended for but I signed my name instead. The day the coupons arrived, I call my head office to find out if I could use hers and if I would have to mail them all the way to her to have them signed. The person I spoke with thought it wasn't an issue but was unsure. I went ahead and did it anyway. When loss prevention came in and had me do a statement, I was about to include the facts of this conversation and I was told not to. I told him I had the name and number of the lady I spoke with but he had me scratch that part out on the staement and then said, " here, I'll help you write it" I wrote the staement according to what he said I should write which included that fact that I was just finding out that this was not allowed and going forward, I have been counselled on the issue and it would not happen again. This staement was then sent to my regional manager who call me to say that at this point I was suspended until further investigation. I asked if my job was on the line and was told it was a very real possibility

I am very concerned that I may lose my job over this as I have 8 chikdren to support.please help?
