The way a court will deal with this issue is that the judge would look at the value of all assets as of the date you are before the judge.

The same would hold true if you are mediating, arbitrating or just trying to settle.

So you would share in the full value of the RRSP as well as all other assets.

The only problem you will have is that your spouse may want occupation rent for the 11 years that you have been living there without him but you will be able to argue against that by showing that you have made all the payments since you separated and in fact you may be able to get credit for much of that so you would get more than 50% of the house.

These are very complex issues and it is vital that you retain a family lawyer at this point.
