If there are no children, there's no real advantage to trying to get the other party out. You're married and you're on title, so your share of the value of the home is preserved in law whether you live there or not.

If you want to end the relationship then it's smart to have a plan, including taking with you your identification and hard-to-replace documents, make a list of the valuable items and take pictures with your phone, know that you might still have to pay for mortgage and taxes and utilities even if you're not there, and have a draft separation agreement ready for your partner. It's better if it's prepared with the input of a lawyer.

You can ask your partner to leave, of course. Maybe you or your partner wants to keep the home and buy out the other's share. Maybe there isn't the finances for either of you to even do that, you'll have to look at it. And if you can do it co-operatively it'll go quickly, cheaply, and without a lot of drama and animosity so you can get on with your life.
