VerifiedIf he was still legally married when you went through a marriage ceremony with him, then that should be grounds for an annulment. That will require a court order and evidence. You should see a family lawyer with your documents and prepare your materials with a lawyer. The paperwork for an annulment has to be done very specifically so please get some help from a lawyer's office.There's some more information here: http://www.canadiandivorcelaws.com/annulment/It is possible that the divorce in Egypt was effective. I can't promise you either way. This is what you'll need the lawyer for, to provide an opinion about the divorce there to see if would have been considered valid in Canada and is thus legal here.
