My daughters are 8, 10, and 12. My son is 13. I absolutely believe him that he was sexually assaulted by both step-brothers. We filed with the Victoria police and we've met obstacles with the Lacombe police in Alberta, because my ex went to them first and told them that he thought *I* had made this up, and also made sure that they knew he was a chief crown prosecutor.

Initially, I moved out of the house because I didn't want a big fight and I was still in the house caring for them anyway. I just slept elsewhere. But three weeks after I moved out, my ex found a woman online with a questionable past and started getting very serious with her. She moved to the town and I moved to Victoria, with the idea that I'd be here about a year. My ex said that I could stay in the house when I visited once a month. But four days after I arrived in Victoria, he got engaged and married ten days later. All of our agreements were verbal.

It has now been two years since I moved to Victoria and three years since I left the house. I also moved because I left the Mormon church for many reasons, including being gay, and lost my whole community when I did so.

My son is also gay and has been living with me just since the end of August, though he's been wanting to live with me for over a year and a half.

Do you know of any credible link where I can read more about a finding of contempt? And can if he is found to be in contempt—to be blocking my access, to be refusing to communicate with me—could this not encourage a judge to give me custody, since he can't seem to be doing his job or doing what is in their best interest? He has also said that he doesn't have enough time to communicate with me (about bare essentials, nothing extra). If his job makes it so that he can't communicate with me about the needs of our kids, why should he have them?

I've done all the tallying regarding child support. Yes, he owes money still. Do I still have to pay if my only income is alimony? Also, if a judge approved our order, that means that a judge found that it was reasonable that I don't have to pay child support. That was our contract. How can the law supercede an agreement between my ex and I, and a judge's approval?

Yes, he makes $170,000 a year. I make $28,800, from alimony.

Does the sexual assault case need to proceed all the way to a trial, and do they step-brothers need to be found guilty for this to impact my opportunity to have the girls live with me?
