Canadian law? Child protection? I already had my child back
Yes, I already had my child back from "care" after a lengthy, thorough court case. My child was extremely abused in care. A neighbour reported her screaming. RCMP just came and picked her up. 2 workers came to serve me notice about a new court date immediately. I talked to them about why my child and I weren't sent to reunification therapy as they promised. They just said my new, unexperienced judge should have ordered it. We were rushed to court. The lawyer Legal Aid assigned to me just quickly helped them take my child away. This was illegal. The lawyer assigned to me from Legal Aid worked against me. They took her away. They had an uncredentially psychologist claim my daughter and I have zero attachment. She recommended visits once a month. Because of the new Bill, and the fact we are First Nations, she was not allowed to be removed from this, her community. The bad judge took her away permanently, did NOT allow visitation, despite the psychologist's ruling. I immediately appealed. The lawyer wouldn't work with Legal Aid, but I paid him to appeal, which he did, but he quit suddenly and left town. The worker called Legal Aid to block my access to them by her false allegations that were already disproven in court. She is actively alienating my child from me. My child was declared extremely depressed, as the worker refuses to grant visitation. They don't want us talking. It's been years since we've visited. The worker asked me in to her office and screamed at me alone. There must be a limitation period they are waiting for in order for her to become an automatic ward of the court. The worker's boss was fired. The local office is crumbling, as they are breaking children's UN Rights. My child is almost 15 and is being kept from knowing she has rights. My child was never consulted about anything while we were close. The worker is teaching her I will harm her. I need to know how to break through this. … read more
