They are not going to succeed in keeping the child from you at the end of the day in all likelihood.
This child, more than most, needs his extended family.
It really doesn't matter that much that the Bill is not enforce. Ontario Courts often grant grandparents, and other extended family access rights because it's generally considered to be best for the children.
I cannot think of a more compelling case than yours really.
The OCL will assess the situation and the OCL's report will hold significant weight.
At the present time I am sure your lawyer will seek to get an order for interim access so the child does not have to miss seeing you and face further trauma.
I am not sure why the police will not enforce the order but I suspect there is something in the wording that makes them think the order was just for the father and not you.
Why not email your lawyer now? Your lawyer may check email over the weekend.
