My nephew was brutally...

My nephew was brutally murdered a few weeks ago, right from the start everything didnt seem right, the serious crimes Constable that "requested to be put on the case after he saw the names of the families involved"(his words),,,,well he just so happens to be related to the suspects by blood. The mother works in the Justice Department in our Band Office, and the grandmother works for Corrections Canada at the Jail here. we are having a hard time getting the medical records. In our culture we dress the body one last time and when we saw his body and how badly damaged it was we all know he was murdered. His body was covered head to toe in scratch marks, he had burn marks, his arm and leg weere broken, his nails were broke off, bruises and had strangle marks around his neck, it was just horrible to see. so our problem is, because the family has close ties with the local autority we believe they are hiding the facts, its conflict of interest. The chief of police said he only had a couple scratches, that's criminal negligence to hide that facts. there is so much facts and details we have, witnesses, information that went unherd and we just want justice for out Houston. there is so much more to the story, the news even covered the story but only what the RCMP told them, the story they told was far from truth. i just need to know what kind of a lawyer we can use to fight them to get that Constable off the case, we are a young family and have no help or know who we can get legal advice from

SO very sorry to hear about your situation. You should hire a criminal attorney to assist you with this and/or a private investigator. You should have an independent autopsy conducted. The law enforcement do need to keep the family out of the investigation so when the offender is prosecuted they will not appear to be bias.

they havnt arrested no one yet, when he was reported missing they never even made the report until the day we found him dead in that families front yard

for such cases they may need to be conducting an investigation so they may not have charges anyone ye, but that does not mean they will not do so

the day we started searching for him, the boy tried to commit suicide, the day we found him the other boy tried to shoot himself and ended up in the Psychiatric hospital. we have phone calls and messages he made last to me and they said an investigator was handling his shoes, but they are still at the house of his friends he was at last.how do i go about getting a private investigator? and how do i explain to the lawyer what we need

If the shoes are evidence that needs to be preserved and taken into evidence [and kept in a safe] by the police. You can google private investigators they are usually retired police officers or ask a criminal defense attorney who they like to use for investigator. SInce you family is involved with law enforcement they should know some competent attorneys.

When explaining the situation--I would say you need a liason bw the family and law enforcement and that you would like them to investigate any leads as to a suspect as you do not know if police are pursuing any suspects at this time. ALso, indicate you would like them to facilitate an independent autopsy.

my family is not involved with law enforcment,,,,the suspect that did it is related to the RCMP investigatortheir whole family has close ties with the authority, i said it all in the first questionthe mother is in Justice Department, grandmother is Corrections Canada, they have the connectionwe told them numerous times that if they have a special investigator working on just his shoes alone why are they still at that house?
no answer. it seems like they arent letting us get any answers

I am sorry I misread that the justice ties are with the suspect’s family. Have you reached out to the prosecutor’s office or just the local law enforcement?
